I studied Herbalism with the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (established 1863) and set up a private practice in the first group practice of Complementary practitioners in London, Highgate Natural Health Centre. After graduation I became a tutor in Differential Diagnosis, Clinical skills and Pharmacology at the School of Herbal Medicine and started and ran a student training clinic at HNHC.
I worked with herbs in private practice and facilitated Magical Herbalism workshops worldwide from 1980 onwards. My book,
'A Woman's Book of Herbs' came from work with the wonderful women who participated in these groups.
Interested in the history of healing I did historical research on women in medicine and my two books: Women Healers through History and Medicine Women were the result of my research.
I teach Magical Herbalism courses from time to time, check the events section for the latest course.
